Information and Policies

The Dance Connection would like to welcome you to the 2010-2011 dance season. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns as some policies and procedures may have changed since last year.

Registration and Tuition Dance Connection Idaho

To enroll, you may register online or complete a registration form at your child's care center or school.

  • Yearly Registration Fee: $10.00
  • Monthly Tuition: $30.00. Sibling discount is $10.00 each additional child in the family.
  • Tuition is due the 1st of each month. Tuition is charged based on four lessons each month. Some months may have three or five lessons, but over the course of the term there is a four-lesson average. Accounts not paid by the 15th of each month will be charged a $10.00 late fee. We do not send monthly statements, only late notices.
  • Any returned checks will be charged a $20.00 NSF fee to the account. If you need to make payment arrangements, please call the office.
  • Payments can be left in the tuition envelope at your childcare center or may be mailed to The Dance Connection, 2028 Monaco Way, Meridian, ID 83646.
  • We accept payment using Visa or Mastercard. To enroll in our automatic payment program, please download the enrollment form (PDF). To make a one-time payment, use the form on the left of this page.
  • IF PAYMENT IS NOT RECEIVED BY MONTH'S END, THE STUDENT WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN CLASS THE FOLLOWING MONTH. OUR POLICY IS TO NOTIFY PARENTS BY PHONE BEFORE A CHILD IS WITHHELD FROM CLASS. We have been lenient in the past with students who have not paid their tuition on time, and have allowed a generous grace period. This year we must stick to the tuition guidelines. We do not like having to withhold children from class. It is very embarrassing and uncomfortable for the child, as well as the teachers. If you are having financial difficulties, please contact us. We will be happy to work with you if you keep us aware of your situation.
  • Parents must give notification to our office (not your child's school) if student drops out of class. All tuition and fees will apply until notification is given to The Dance Connection. You must contact us directly, not leave word with your child's preschool teacher or director. They have their own responsibilities and may forget to relay the message to the dance teacher.

Holidays Dance Connection Idaho

The Dance Connection follows the same closings as your child's center for all major holidays. We also take the school districts scheduled Winter Break, and Spring Break due to low enrollment during that time. There is no reduction in tuition for months with holidays or breaks. (The 5 week months compensate for these holidays.)

Missed Classes Dance Connection Idaho

Refunds or credits are not issued for lessons missed unless prior written notice has been given and at least three lessons will be missed.

Class Attire Dance Connection Idaho

Dance clothing and shoes are not required, but for many girls, dressing for class is part of the fun. Dancewear for class can be any color or style. For your convenience, dancewear can be purchased at our online store or at most of the major department stores. Please label all dance attire. Students may also wear any comfortable clothing that allows them to move freely, such as sweat pants or shorts.

Parent Observers Dance Connection Idaho

We welcome parents to observe class at any time, and thank all that have visited our classes. Please observe quietly without disturbing the class. We request occasional, rather than weekly, visits and encourage observations the last class of the month. (Usually the first lesson of each month we are learning new material and the children are more confident in showing what they are learning by the end of the month.) Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

Recital Dance Connection Idaho

As dance is a performing art, and most parents do not have the opportunity to come and watch class very often, we will hold a recital on a formal stage at one of the local high schools to showcase the skills the students have learned. Location, date, time, and costume information will be distributed in January. Participation is optional and there is a costume fee (usually around $25.00). There is also a $5.00 admission fee to attend the recital to help cover the cost of rental of the auditorium and additional recital expenses.
